Options graduate from the Options module to become Projects, the final step towards realising the idea and creating value. In this module, Solverboard blends Agile principles with project management methods to provide a sophisticated and flexible project management system to deliver your innovation projects.
Solverboard breaks down the process of defining, managing and executing projects into 4 principles; Manage, Deliver, Release and Direct - here’s how:
Manage - The Manage element is the Project Manager's central workspace, designed for defining, planning, tasking of work and the day to day management of the project. Manage project objectives, constraints, risks to help assure the project delivers the innovation and its intended benefits.
Deliver - Every organisation has their own preferred delivery methods, so Solverboard allows for many different delivery teams and delivery methods and tools. Whether you're using agile or classic waterfall or other approaches, the platform tracks the progress of all work items, enabling you to stay informed of the status of all work, from all delivery teams, in one central location.
Release - Releases are used to make sure something of value gets to the end customer as soon as possible to ensure the earliest realisation of benefits and feedback. The planning and management of release deployments to end-users helps to make sure customer feedback and learning remains continual throughout the project so the project can remain flexible, agile and adjust as to always maximise the value of the innovation. Release milestones provide focus and enable the coordination of multiple team work items into a single product of value.
Direct - Stages can be used in Solverboard to provide a review point between the organisation and the project manager that the project is on track to deliver its business case. It is the key exchange point between the project team and the organisation balancing the need for organisational control and governance while allowing day to day flexibility and autonomy for the project team. In Solverboard the stages are customisable to your organisation's project framework.
